So, what makes Mesotherapy so fantastic?

It’s all about boosting skin hydration: The Meostherapy product used Nirvana Beauty Laser Clinics is a sterile, viscoelastic, clear, isotonic and biodegradable gel. Based on the SMART technique, the gel is not cross-linked but stabilized by glycerol, a natural moisturizer, which retains water and preserves hydration.

The Mesotherapy is a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid and a very high molecular weight (3.0 mio Daltons) for long-lasting rejuvenation effects. The combination of HA and glycerol durably increases the hydration of the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid is naturally found in the body, this compound of is both extremely hydrating and plumping when applied to skin.
Unlike collagen, Hyaluronic Acid is able to penetrate the skin’s upper superficial dermis, it forms an air permeable layer and penetrates into the dermis. This protective barrier on the skin locks in moisture, which gives the skin a youthful appearance, the extreme hydration improves the tone and elasticity of the skin, gives a glow to the complexion and holds off the signs of skin ageing.

For better results, it is recommended to be combined with Skin-needling treatments for deeper product penetration, a microdermabrasion is advised 3 weeks later to refresh the effects of the Mesotherapy treatment! This Meso Glow package is only $399 for a strictly limited time so get in quick! visit www.nirvanabeauty.com.au/specials

AFTER TREATMENT CARE FOR THE MESO GLOW

After your Mesotherapy treatment, you skin will feel extremely smooth as a result of the Hyaluronic acid in the most hydrating rich procedures.

Immediately after the treatment, your therapist will ask if you would like an application of LYCOGEL, this amazing product is known as a breathable camouflage that is used to cover any redness post treatment. It is water resistant, transfer resistant and will keep your face protected with non-paraben SPF30. The chemical structure of the matrix causes it to be attracted to the surface of the skin so that it stays in place, providing a base to suspend fine particles and allows your skin underneath to still take advantage of the wonderful treatment it has just experienced.

There are some guidelines to follow 1-5 days after treatment below:

1-5 days after treatment:

  • No active products such as AHA’s (Glycolic Acid), BHA’s, benzoyl peroxide, Retinol, alcohol based topical skin care
  • No makeup after treatment
  • No exercise next 24 hours
  • No heat of any source e.g. sauna, hot shower, solarium
  • No blow drying or hair colouring
  • No rubbing or stimulating area treated
  • No swimming in a chlorinated pool or at sea
  • No chemical peel/microdermabrasion/dermabrasion

  • No Muscle relaxant/dermal filler injections
  • No Spray or self-tanning
  • No Cosmetic tattooing
  • Use gentle cleanser, hydrating moisturiser, hydrating serum & SPF 15 (min)
  • Use mineral makeup

3 weeks after the treatment, you will feel your skin begin to naturally rejuvenate itself which means it will begin to shed skin, to aid this process, we have suggested a Microdermabrasion treatment to ensure all of the dead and dull skin is removed to reveal a smooth, plump, even and hydrated new skin underneath.

A good skincare regime to suit your skin after this treatment can be recommended by your therapist.

Skin Needling (also known as Micro-Needling) is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy which is intended to smooth wrinkles, improve depressed acne scarring as well as reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

It is one the latest and most effective skin treatments available.

Who should undertake Skin-Needling or Mesotherapy?

Skin-needling is a part of the new Mesotherapy treatment. Both treatments are ideal for people with any concerns of aging skin, these concerns including visible signs of:

  • Dull skin colour (due to less blood flow)
  • Drooping facial shape (due to a decrease in collagen)
  • Skin feels dehydrated, and slightly rough
  • Wrinkles and fine lines

If you want to look years younger but are looking for a less invasive treatment that cosmetic surgery, even a face-lift which a lot of people do not actually need.

Sometimes injectables are the same as fillers are great for lifting the skin and creating that uplifting youthful glow, however this cannot reach so close to the eye area, plus fillers sometimes give you a different shape to your natural face.

Skin-needling and Mesotherapy is a powerful skin hydrator plumps up the area of treatment, encouraging your skin to boost into repair mode to give you back that overall lift, smoother texture and brings back vibrancy by naturally delaying signs of aging.

It is simple, when you live well, you look good and you love life!

How Skin-needling and Mesotherapy works:

Skin needling is process carried out with a roller that is covered with numerous tiny needles. Using numbing cream and a very small needle (for almost no pain), these needles penetrate the upper layers of skin to a depth of up to 2mm (depending on the needle length used).

These growth factors then activate multipotent stem cells  already in the skin (tricking them into “thinking” there’s been an injury and new younger tissue should generated).

This process has two major benefits. It effectively stimulates collagen formation at the same time as allowing product absorption more effectively through the top layer (epidermis) of skin.

Skin-needling creates a very minor (almost microscopic) trauma which lasts for a short period of time and does not usually result in bruising or swelling or bleeding in the treated area.

The microscopic punctures (which are often just the opening of the pores of your skin) stimulate collagen production in the dermis layer as it breaks some of the blood vessels directly below the surface of the skin. As the blood clots, it creates the right environment for collagen and elastin formation. It is these key ingredients which help the skin to appear rejuvenated.

What is the difference between skin needling and Mesotherapy?

Skin Needling is a non-surgical method which is carried-out with a derma roller that creates dozens of small needles to deliver the treatment directly into the skin. This is to avtivate the skins natural repair mode resulting in an increase of collagen production and many more benefits.

The difference with Mesotherapy is that revitalising substances are delivered into the skin as multiple, very superficial injections of tiny drops, aided by a dermal roller.

More on Mesotherapy:

Mesotherapy super infuses your skin with HA to give a more radiant and youthful appearance suitable for all skin conditions.

This treatment can diminish the fine lines caused by sun damage and the natural aging process and smooth the skin to give a plump and hydrated look.

Helping to rebuild cells quickly and stimulate growth of the skin-strengthening protein collagen, recovery time can be significantly reduced.

Enlarged pores, stretch marks scarring acne, pigmentation sun damage, collagen induction therapy

This powerful skin hydrator is a natural procedure which plumps up the area of treatment, providing a boost to tired skin leaving skin rejuvenated on the immediate delivery of anti-aging elements to nurture skin, delaying signs of aging.

The skin feels more vibrant ‘smoother’ and fresher’ which stimulate a healing response and may, by itself, generate localgrowth of collagen and other healing components.

Anywhere where cellulite and unwanted fat occurs on the body. The most common areas treated are the thighs and buttocks, abdomen and waistline. The upper arms, under the chin and lower cheeks can also be treated.

Is Skin-needling/ Mesotherapy painful?

Skin-needling creates a very minor (almost microscopic) trauma which lasts for a short period of time.

Because of this we apply special numbing cream prior to treatment

Some patients experience a light tingling sensation which disappears in a flash. Usually with this treatment, it is so relaxing and the feeling of coolness and a soft massage if rubbing any treatment into your skin is all you will feel.

How long does the treatment take?

Because we apply numbing cream, each session is for a minimum of 2 hours, depending on the treatment and the area being treated.

For more tailored information on how long it takes, call us on 1300 761 925.

How many sessions are necessary?

We highly recommend up to 6 treatments to take full advantage of the treatment and a minimum of 3 treatments are necessary. It is also advised to allow your skin to rejuvenate it for at least 4 weeks in between treatments.

Consultation and assessment
Clients are always assessed by our highly qualified staff, clients can be assessed by our supervising Doctor for suitability for Mesotherapy upon request.

What you need to do before:

Look forward to seeing results!

Ensure there is no topical infection or inflammation around the area being treated, these include acne, or any open wounds, please don’t hesitate to let us know beforehand if you have any questions or are worried about your skin before treatment.

Also try to avoid aspirin, Vitamin E, Primrose Oil, Nurofen, Chinese and herbal medicine one week before the treatment to protect you against the remote risk of bruising.

Does Misotherapy/Skin-needling have any risks?

This is a topical non-invasive and all natural procedure which simply encourages the natural healing components of the skin to begin.

There are no more risks associated with this treatment than there is with a very sterile pin prick!

Approximately 3% of patients can get mild redness which will last for a few hours. 1% of patients can get bruising lasting up to three days. With skin Needling and Mesotherapy, allergic reactions are extremely rare.

What does it cost?
Skin needling is priced on the area and time taken for a given treatment area. Average treatments will start from $349 per session, or $289 if you pre-pay for 6 or more sessions (highly recommended.)

Mesotherapy treatments called ‘the Meso Beauty Glow’ treatment is $750, you can also purchase three at a time with a 30% discount for the course of treatments as three separate treatments are more effective!
At the time of the consultation you’ll be assessed given an accurate quote; you can see more of a cost Breakdown HERE

Post Misotherapy/Skin-needling  Care:

Try not to part-take in any excessive physical activity for the rest of the day.

It is also best not to place anything (cleanser, exfoliate, heat, tan, make-up) on your skin for the next 48 hours whilst your skin is in recovery mode.

Also avoid any products such as AHA’s (Glycolic Acid), BHA’s, benzoyl peroxide, Retinol, alcohol based topical skin care or peels. If you must use a product, use gentle cleanser, hydrating moisturiser, hydrating serum & SPF 15 (min) and only mineral makeup, but keep this to a minimum.

Our expert therapists will be with you every step of the way and take you carefully through these aftercare precautions so if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask them. A list of Do’s and Don’ts of skin needling is on the services pages HERE

When to avoid Skin Needling?

Delay Skin Needling or Mesotherapy 2 weeks after  any cosmetic injectable treatments.

The treatment will not be performed if the client has an active herpes or acne breakout, however, once resolved the treatment can go ahead after 2 weeks. The treatment avoids raised moles, warts or lesions.

Please advise (it will be in the consultation if you are on any medication as some medication may reduce healing time. You must also advise of any medical conditions as they may need medical certificate.

When will I see results?

You can see results 4 days after your first treatment, you may find the skin is looking a little lighter and more hydrated. Overall results are gradual as your skin has to rejuvenate and re-create the new collagen. This will happen after at least three sessions or 8-12 weeks.

You can enhance your results by following a homecare routine to compliment your Skin needling and/or Mesotherapy treatment.

How long will the benefits last?

For skin-needling, we recommend an up session every two to six months, the improvement will be more stable and longer lasting.

On average, it will be five to six months before you see the toll of time starting to creep back in. It is best to nip it in the bud at this stage.
