Mint Mono Threads

What are MINT MONO THREADS?

A Mono Thread Lift is a minimally invasive procedure that uses absorbable threads to redefine and restore lost elasticity and volume in the face for a youthful appearance. It is less invasive than traditional facelift surgery – it is more convenient, involves less risk and is less expensive.

How do MONO THREADS work?

Mono Threads induces production of collagen. creating a tightening effect for 6 to 12 months after your procedure. The threads become a support structure for your face allowing natural collagen production to take place.

What does the procedure involve?

Local anaesthetic is applied to the area being treated, then the thread is placed under the skin. This is done usually through a small incision or with a fine needle. Once the thread is in place, slight compression of the tissue is performed to reshape it by hand and to obtain the desired lifting effect and skin tightening.

What exactly does the Mono Thread Lift do/ BENEFITS?

The Mono Thread Lift does two things:

  1. The threads cause tension in the skin that gives an immediate lifting effect.
  2. The material that the threads are made from, PDO, stimulates the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin which creates firmer skin.

Which areas can be treated with a Mono Thread Lift?

  • Facial Contour: This redefines the contour of the face, firming up the skin and giving a fuller look to cheeks.
  • Lower Jaw: The contour of the face regains definition and cheeks are redefined.
  • Neck: This provides more definition and a stronger contour giving a sleeker appearance.
  • Cheeks and Cheekbones: The cheeks and cheekbones appear fuller and the nasolabial fold is reduced.
  • Eyebrows: This opens up the eyes, and raises the outer edge of the eyebrow.

How long does a Mono Thread lift take?

The Mono Thread Lift procedure takes approximately 30-60 minutes. Book your obligation free consultation.

Who is suitable for this procedure?

The Mono Thread Lift is recommended for both men and women, over the age of 25 who are showing signs of ageing, but do not want to undergo a full facelift or any heavy invasive surgery.

Laser Hair Removal

How does laser hair removal work?

Candela Laser hair removal technology works by focusing a concentrated light beam that generates heat and travels down the hair shaft and into the hair follicle. This light is absorbed by the melanin in your hair and inhibits the ability for the hair to grow back without causing damage to the skin’s surface, leaving your skin silky and smooth. Our lasers use a wide beam which allows the removal of multiple hair follicles at the same time and all of our lasers feature a unique dynamic cooling device that helps to calm, soothe and protect the skin.

Everyone’s hair and skin type varies and for this reason our highly-qualified laser technicians will tailor a laser hair removal treatment plan to meet your unique hair removal needs.

What are the benefits of laser hair removal?

Unlike waxing and shaving, laser hair removal will keep you hair free and silky smooth all year round! It is a safe, non-invasive and pain-free procedure and is suitable for both men and women alike. Our staff are certified and experienced and the medical grade laser technology can be used for both light and dark skin tones. Laser hair removal is cost effective, efficient and requires no downtime. With 85 to 99% permanent hair reduction in as little as 6 to 10 treatments it is no wonder it is so popular and favoured over all other forms of hair removal treatments.

How long does the treatment take and how many sessions will I need?

Depending on which area of the body you are having treated the time will vary. For small areas such as the bikini area and underarms typically takes 5 minutes, whereas full legs can take anywhere between 45 minutes to one hour.  Only the hair that is in the Anagen phase (the growing phase of a hair follicle) can be targeted and since everyone’s hair growth cycle is different multiple sessions are required to achieve desired results. Generally, we recommend a minimum of 6 sessions depending on individual, you may need more than 6 sessions.

How long should I wait between treatments?

Again, each and every one of us has a unique hair re-growth pattern and depending on which area of the body you are having treated will determine how long you must wait between treatments. For example areas such as the upper lip should be done every 2 weeks initially and areas on the body such as the bikini, underarms or legs are usually done every 4 to 6 weeks. Our experienced therapists will go through all of your questions and explain the process and procedure in detail during your initial complimentary consultation.

How do I prepare for a treatment?

It is important to avoid excess exposure to sunlight before your treatment. You should also let your therapist know if you have experienced resent sun burn or tan (real or fake), or if you are taking any medication before your treatment. Please make sure you shave the area you are having treated prior to your appointment so that the treatment is as effective as possible. Shaving is not included as part of the treatment and we do not provide shaving equipment in the clinics.

Should I receive any laser hair removal if I am pregnant or taking medication?

If you are pregnant or taking medication you must have written clearance from your obstetrician or GP prior to any laser hair removal treatment.

What should I do after a laser hair removal treatment?

After your treatment it is important to avoid hot showers, spas, or saunas for 24 hours. It is also important to avoid excess sun exposure for 2-4 weeks after your treatment. If you exercise regularly it is a good idea to refrain from strenuous or high-intensity work-outs for the first 24 hours to avoid excessive body heat and sweating. Laser Rescue is necessary for post-treatment care to reduce heat and inflammation on the treated area. In addition to the Laser Rescue, AHA Scrub is needed to exfoliate ingrown hairs and keep the skin smooth and silky. Your therapist will explain the after-care instructions in more detail during your initial consultation.

Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal?

It is important to know that results vary from person to person. During your initial consultation your qualified therapist will assess your skin, hair and the area you want to have treated to determine whether you are a good candidate for laser hair removal.

How much does it cost?

At Nirvana Beauty Laser Clinics we use the very best medical grade technology available to effectively remove your unwanted hair. The cost of Candela laser hair removal varies depending on the area and size that you want treated. As a general rule, the smaller the target area, the lower the cost of the individual sessions. Dermapen Skin Needling

How does it work?

Skin-needling is an alternative option to fractional laser resurfacing that works by lightly puncturing the skin with tiny medical needles through a motorised roller head. This roller, with its numerous tiny needles, is moved across the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen formation and renewal. Our skin needling treatment will leave your skin feeling younger and smoother. This technique is perfect for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, skin pigmentation, and acne scarring. It is by far the most exciting treatment available on the market today.

At Nirvana, we use The Dermapen which is a revolutionary micro-needling device that aims to tighten, lift and rejuvenate skin. The Dermapen is safer and more effective in piercing the skin than traditional skin needling rollers. The Dermapen is a multi-speed device, with adjustable needle depth and designed to treat even hard-to-reach places. Dermapen3 systematically creates micro-punctures in the skin and the body responds in a natural way of repairing the physical damage to the skin by initiating the wound healing process. The result is an increased production of normal woven collagen, similar to fractional laser treatments, but without the side effects and downtime.

What are the benefits of Dermapen treatment?

  • Increases collagen production
  • Anti-ageing
  • Improves skin texture
  • Reduces wrinkles and fine lines
  • Restores skin’s firmness
  • Lightens pigmentation
  • Helps treat acne and blackheads
  • Reduces scarring from acne and chicken pox
  • Reduces the appearance of stretch marks
  • Pore refinement
  • Evens out skin tone

Which areas can Dermapen treat?

Dermapen can be used to treat any part of the body. It is very effective in treating sensitive areas such as the face, neck, and chest. We recommend combining Dermapen with the Mesotherapy treatment for even better results.

How often should I get it done and how many treatments would I need?

The number of recommended treatments depends on the skin condition. For facial rejuvenation we recommend 3 to 6 treatments at intervals of 8 weeks; for acne scarring we recommend 3 to 10 treatments at intervals of 8 weeks; and for stretch marks we recommend at least 10 treatments at intervals of 8 weeks.

How long does each session last?

The duration of the session depends on the number of areas being treated. It generally takes about 30 minutes for each session.

Is it painful?

There is very slight discomfort as Dermapen uses micro needles which makes the procedure virtually painless.

Are there any side effects?

You may develop mild swelling, bruising, and redness which would heal in two to three days. Scabs and crust might develop with more aggressive treatments and should resolved in one to two weeks. Combining Dermapen with Mesotherapy treatment will reduce side effects.

When can I go in the sun again?

You should avoid direct exposure to the sun for about one or two weeks after your Dermapen treatment. It is recommended that you regularly use sunscreens and follow correct homecare instructions such as using the Radiance (Hyaluronic Acid) Serum.

Non-surgical face lift

How does it work?

Radio Frequency produces thermal effects at various depths of the skin and tissues. The heat produced by radiofrequency increases blood flow which allows the fibroblasts, the most common cells in the skin, to assist the skin in rejuvenating itself and increasing collagen production. This thermal effect causes the skin to lift, tighten and contract. The improvements are due to growth of new collagen and straightening of elastin fiber in the skin. Radiofrequency used in this way also improves the superficial skin layer giving you a more fresh and youthful appearance.

What are the benefits of non-surgical face lifting?

  • Lifts and tightens the skin
  • Improves skin tone and elasticity
  • Promotes healthy skin and youthfulness
  • Reduces fine lines
  • Improves skin smoothness
  • Stimulates collagen production
  • No anaesthesia required
  • No downtime and no side effects
  • Quick lunch hour procedure
  • Instant results

Is the procedure safe?

This procedure has been medically proven to be effective, safe, non-invasive and natural. There are no side effects and there is no need for anaesthesia. Our equipment is TGA and FDA approved.

Non-surgical body shaping and tightening

How does it work?

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU):
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) was first used in military applications before being extended to medicine for non-surgical prostate cancer destruction. After extensive research into its benefits HIFU is now used in the cosmetic industry to blast and destroy fat cells. HIFU works by making fat cells vibrate so much they start hitting against each other and eventually collapse. The fat released and cellular residues are then naturally processed by the body’s liver and lymphatic system and eliminated through the kidneys.

Radiofrequency:
Radiofrequency is when electricity is used above a certain speed to generate warmth deep in the tissues, reaching up to 60 degrees celsius. Radiofrequency results in skin tightening and slimming by liquefying and melting fat as well as contracting collagen within the skin, and inducing new collagen formation. New collagen can take up to 6 months to form which is why your skin will continue to improve even months after your initial treatment, giving you a younger and more youthful appearance. Radiofrequency is one of the best treatments for face and body shaping and it is the only medically proven non-surgical alternative to face lifting and liposuction.

Does it hurt?

Most people find the treatment painless, and liken it to a warm deep tissue massage. The treatment is designed to accommodate your sensitivity and comfort level. It is normal to experience a warm sensation for a few hours post treatment. Overall, it is a very comfortable treatment.

Is it safe?

This technology has been studied extensively. Dr Fassi has worked tirelessly on perfecting non-invasive body-shaping treatments achieving astonishing results. Often described as a “magician” by his patients, Dr Fassi has been selected by Australian Women’s Weekly as the Australian Cellulite Expert and interviewed many times to provide specialist advice in treating it.

Unlike surgical liposuction, there are no risks and no downtime, which is why people love it so much.

What areas can be treated?

Areas such as stomach, buttocks, thighs, flanks, and upper arms can be treated. Our experienced and highly-qualified therapists will assess your area of concern and will make recommendations as to what treatments would be of most benefit to achieve the desired result.

How many treatments will I need and how long does it take?

Treatments are generally administered in a series of 4 to 6 sessions so that results are gradual and risks minimised. The length of treatment depends on which area of the body you are having done. Treatments can take anywhere from 40 minutes to 1 hour. Book now for a free consultation and our therapists can answer all your questions in detail and personalise a treatment plan to suit your specific needs.

Remember, sticking to a healthy diet is key to maintaining your results.

Cosmetic injections

How do Cosmetic Injections work?

Dermal fillers are aesthetic gel based treatments injected into the skin. They are specifically designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, contour the face and create volume. Some dermal fillers are also used to hydrate and revitalise your skin.

Dermal fillers are based on a substance that occurs naturally in your body – a sugar molecule that exists naturally in almost all living organisms. Its normal function is to bind water so it acts as a lubricant and shock absorber in movable parts of the body, such as joints. It is also important for the transport of nutrients and in regulating water balance in skin. By boosting your skin with this naturally occurring substance, dermal fillers revitalise and add volume to the area instantly. This diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and giving a natural softer look. The gel we use is very tissue-friendly and closely resembles that which exists in the body.

What are the different options with Cosmetic Injections?

Comprising of Cosmetic Dermal Fillers and Anti-Wrinkle Injections, Cosmetic Injections are an effective and affordable way to fight the visible signs of aging. Whether you want to enhance your cheekbones, plump up your lips or simply smooth out wrinkles and scowl lines, using these two treatments together is often the perfect way to help you achieve your desired appearance.

Anti-wrinkle Injections:
Anti-wrinkle injections have been one of the world’s safest and most popular treatments for over 25 years, and have fast become the ultimate non-surgical treatment option.
Anti-wrinkle injections work by relaxing the muscles beneath the skin resulting in lines and wrinkles on the surface of the skin being reduced and smoothed.

Dermal Fillers:
As the skin ages, the production of collagen beings to slow, and the skin begins to lose its elasticity. Dermal fillers help to rejuvenate the skin and achieve a younger and fresher appearance by plumping out the skin cells. Dermal fillers provide a boost to tired skin and create a little more definition without invasive surgery.

What brand of dermal fillers do we stock?

We carry a range of dermal fillers to cater to the exact needs of each client. We use only the best brands and we always have plenty stock as dermal fillers are very popular with our clients. Dermal filler products vary in thickness, anaesthetic content and longevity. Each brand names each thickness of filler definitely so think of the name as a way to recognize the different product easily.

Who can use cosmetic injetables?

Dermal fillers should not be used in or near areas where there is or has been skin disease, inflammation or skin related problems. Dermal fillers have not been tested in pregnant or breast-feeding women, individuals with medical conditions that lower the body’s immune response or individuals undergoing therapy that is immunosuppressive may be more prone to infection by a skin injection procedure. During your pre-treatment consultation, you should thoroughly discuss your medical history with your treating nurse or doctor.

How many injections will i need?

The amount of dermal filler required will vary, based on the area to be treated, the depth of the wrinkle and the desired results. Shallow facial lines will require less solution, while hollow cheeks and deep forehead creases may need significantly more to achieve desired results. diet is key to maintaining your results.

How long do anti-wrinkle cosmetic injectable results last?

Anti-wrinkle injections start to work 2-3 days after the injection and reach their full effect within 7-14 days. The effects can typically last for up to 3-4 months depending on the individual.

How long do Dermal Fillers last?

Dermal fillers can last up to three to six months and in some cases longer. Lips are a high activity area as we use them all the time, this can impact how long the results will last. Please speak to your Cosmetic Injector about this.

Does it hurt?

The needles or cannulas are micro-fine (super tiny) in diameter – meaning, cosmetic injections are less intrusive and LESS painful than nearly most other types of injections.

Ice packs or cool packs can be held on the area immediately before the injection, and immediately afterwards, to ease any discomfort – you’ll be surprised how much this helps!

The skill of your Cosmetic injector for dermal fillers and for cosmetic anti-wrinkle injections or lip plumping injections can make ALL the difference in how much pain you feel during the injections. Typically, with our Senior Injectors, it’s not much discomfort at all – and it’s over with in just a few seconds (it may sting very briefly but it’s usually less uncomfortable than, for example, laser hair removal or plucking).

What are the benefits?

  • Dramatically reduces the visible signs of ageing, fine lines and wrinkles
  • Lifts and rejuvenates aging skin giving a younger and more youthful appearance

Are there any possible complications associated with getting cosmetic injectables?

Fillers are generally considered safe. However side effects may happen and hence a practicing dermatologist need to be aware of such side effects, contraindicatons and precaution to be adopted while using fillers.

*Chronic pain: we are increasingly witnessing patients with chronic pain in the distribution of the infraorbital and zygomaticofacial nerve territories from injections in the region of the tear trough, a common site for injection. Whilst at present the exact mechanism for such pain is not understood, the use of permanent rather than temporary fillers may be more difficult to resolve.

* Early onset complications: include non-inflammatory nodules, and are usually localised accumulations of filler, especially seen with bovine or human collagen or HA derivatives. Treatment of these is generally conservative with gentle massage and, if persistent, the use of hyaluronidase. Stab incisions into the nodules can be considered. Whilst over-augmentation with HA fillers can be reduced with the use of hyaluronidase, this is not a possible treatment for patients treated with permanent filler nodules.

* Early inflammatory nodules: are red, painful and tender. These should be treated as infections and empirically treated with macrolides or tetracycline, pending culture and sensitivity. Fluctuance or impending skin erosion requires incision and drainage. Antibiotic treatment should be continued for at least four to six weeks. If inflammation continues, the judicious use of intralesional corticosteroids can be considered.

* Delayed onset complications: include persistent erythema and telangiectasia and may require treatment with 532 nm or 1064 nm lasers. Other delayed onset complications include inflammatory nodules, granulomas and sterile abscesses. These represent a heightened peri-implant cellular activity. Treatment should commence with macrolides or tetracycline antibiotics for four to six weeks. If there is no response within one to two weeks, intralesional corticosteroids can be considered. If there is no further improvement, tissue biopsy for culture may be required and guided antibiotic treatment accordingly

* Granulomas: all dermal fillers can produce late granulomas and abscesses. We have seen granulomas occurring in patients with both permanent and temporary fillers even up to ten years post injection..

HIFU – uplifting treatment

How does HIFU work?

The fundamental principle is similar to using a magnifying glass to focus sunlight, generating a burning heat. Focused ultrasound uses an acoustic lens to concentrate multiple intersecting beams of ultrasound precisely on a target point deep in the skin. Each individual beam passes through tissue with no effect (just like a normal Ultrasound scan); but at the focal point, where the beams converge, the combined energy has a precise localised thermal (heating) effect.

Who is HIFU best suited to?

A good candidate for HIFU is someone with skin that has “relaxed” to the point of looking, and often feeling, less firm. A lowered eyebrow line or sagging skin on the eyelids, for instance, is often the first sign of “maturing” skin. Typically, those in their late thirties and older who have mild to moderate skin laxity are candidates.

How long will a HIFU treatment take?

The length of your treatment depends on what you are having treated. A full face treatment and neck takes up to 1 hour and a partial face or eye lift treatment can take around 30 minutes. Body treatments will sit somewhere within that range.

Is there downtime?

With HIFU treatment there is NO downtime. After your treatment, you can resume your normal activities immediately and there are no special measures that you have to take. It is even possible to have your treatment during your lunchbreak.

How long until you see results and do they remain?

Immediately after your HIFU treatment you may see an initial effect but the ultimate results will take place over the next 2-3 months…and continue getting better for the next 6 months! During this time your body is naturally regenerating collagen and muscles are firming. As it is your own collagen that is being generated, the length of time the results last really depends on your own body’s healing response. The treatment produces new collagen and muscle firmness beneath the skin but your own natural aging process will then dictate how long that translates into visible results on the surface.

How does HIFU stimulate the production of collagen?

During the treatment, HIFU delivers focused ultrasound energy deep beneath the skin at the optimal temperature for collagen regeneration. This jumpstarts a process known as neocollagenesis which produces fresh, new collagen naturally. HIFU treatments don’t involve any creams, fillers or toxins. It is your body’s own collagen-building process that is activated and creates the natural and noticeable results.

How do HIFU treatments feel?

While the ultrasound energy is being delivered you will feel tiny amounts of “energy” being deposited to precise depths of the skin. This is a positive and temporary signal that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Comfort thresholds vary from person to person but the sensations only last while the treatment is being delivered. Your dermal therapist will aim to make your experience as comfortable as possible. Patients typically leave feeling relaxed and excited about the benefits to come.

How many treatments will I need?

Generally only one treatment is needed every 6 months to 2 years depending on the client’s age and degree of skin laxity, biological response to ultrasound energy and their individual collagen-building process. Some clients may benefit from additional treatments and future touch-up treatments can help clients keep pace with their body’s natural aging process.

Are there side effects?

It is possible for the skin to appear flushed at first. This can happen during treatment but it sometimes lasts longer. If there is any redness, it should disappear within a few hours. Some clients experience a slight swelling, redness, tingling or tenderness to the touch however these are only temporary sensations. Other, less common post-procedural effects may include temporary bruising or numbness on small areas of skin.

What is the cost of HIFU?

HIFU treatment costs range widely and depend upon the size and number of areas being treated. That being said, the pricing is however well below the cost of cosmetic surgery. To find out current pricing contact heritagehealers direct on freecall 1 800 68 50 50 or call in and see your nearest professional therapist.

Microdermabrasion Facial

What is a microdermabrasion facial?

Using a combination of powerful cosmetic ingredients, diamond-tipped microdermabrasion and vacuum suction, this unique treatment works to remove dead skin and debris, while stimulating collagen production to restore elasticity. Microdermabrasion is not only an excellent maintenance treatment for normal skin, it is also a desirable option to treat acne and the signs of premature ageing. For acne sufferers, fortnightly to monthly treatments can put you back in control of your skin.

How does microdermabrasion work?

Your skin is made up of two main layers, the epidermis and the dermis. The epidermis is the layer closest to the outside world. It’s a set of dead skin cells on top of another layer of cells that are in the process of maturing. The topmost layer is called the stratum corneum. The stratum corneum mostly acts as a barrier between the outside world and the lower skin layers. It keeps all but the smallest molecules from getting through. When you put lotions or creams on your skin, some of the moisture passes through the stratum corneum, but not all of it. This layer is home to many minor skin imperfections like fine wrinkle lines and blemishes. All of the action in microdermabrasion takes place at the level of the stratum corneum. Since it only really targets the epidermis (and not the dermis), it is more accurate to call it micro-epi-dermabrasion. Affecting deeper layers of skin would be painful and harmful, and it would risk permanently embedding the tiny grains into the skin.

IPL Photo Rejuvenation

What is IPL photo rejuvenation?

IPL technology emits multiple wavelengths of light into the skin, which is absorbed by damaged pigments in the blood vessels – encouraging natural collagen production within damaged, discoloured or marked skin. This helps to fill in fine lines, reduce redness, skin discolouration, and age spots. The priority areas that are targeted with the IPL are intentionally “damaged” and naturally removed by the body.

How does IPL photo rejuvenation work?

The process works by using accurately targeted light energy to safely treat visible blood vessels or pigmentation. Photo Rejuvenation stimulates the body’s natural healing process to assist in the removal of treated pigmentation and vessels, while also promoting the natural production of collagen, which leaves skin smoother and more evenly toned.

Are there any side effects from IPL photo rejuvenation?

After a Photo Rejuvenation procedure, the area treated will experience redness, slight swelling and a mild burning sensation, this may last for up to 2 days and is completely normal. Other side effects may include: Superficial crusting – This is an effect of the pigmented lesions being destroyed and moving to the superficial layers of the skin to slough off. It is normal and expected and is one of the body’s methods of eliminating pigmentation. You will first notice that the pigmented area will darken and fall off, which may take 7 to 28 days (depending on the area of the body). Undesirable pigmentation changes, including the skin becoming darker or lighter is influenced by sun exposure and skin types – which may be transient or permanent. Cold sores may be activated from Photo-Rejuvenation treatments around the mouth and it is recommended that a course of anti-virals be taken prior to treatment. Blistering may occur and is transient.

Photo Rejuvenation clients with the following skin conditions:

Erythema
Photo Rejuvenation is particularly effective for erythema cases of the face, neck or chest. clients can expect an average of 50-75% reduction* in facial erythema after 5 sessions*. Benefits have also continued for up to 12 months after Photo Rejuvenation treatments.

Flushing
Until recently, there has been no effective solution for facial, neck or chest flushing. Photo Rejuvenation is extremely effective in reducing the degree of flushing in all clients treated. Most clients report a 75% (or greater) reduction in flushing.

Rosacea
clients with active inflammatory rosacea generally experience a considerable improvement to their symptoms after undergoing Photo Rejuvenation laser treatment for rosacea. Most clients can decrease or discontinue other treatments for rosacea. Although symptoms of rosacea may re-occur, most clients report a 60% (or greater) improvement after undergoing Photo Rejuvenation for rosacea.

Skin that displays fine wrinkling, freckling or irregular and mottled pigmentation from chronic sun exposure is visibly improved after a series of Photo Rejuvenation sessions. Fine lines have generally shown an average improvement of 15-25% (or greater) after 5 facial rejuvenation sessions.

Pigmentation Concerns
These include age spots, mottled pigmentation and rough, thickened skin with large pores. clients with this skin type generally experience smoother, softer skin with a visible reduction in pore size after a course of treatments. Pore size improves an average of 50% (or greater).|

Non-Facial Sun Damage

Are there any reasons why I shouldn’t get this treatment?

Clients with a fair skin tone achieve the most successful results. This is due to the contrast of pigmentation and skin colour – a bigger contrast in colour means a larger target for the IPL energy. Those with darker skin tones will need to be treated with a lower fluency and will require additional sessions. clients who have had exposure to sunlight or fake tan will need to wait until their colour has completely faded before commencing treatment. We do not recommend this treatment for clients with very dark skin. Photo Rejuvenation can also treat areas such as the hands, chest and back.

LED Light Therapy

What is LED light therapy?

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. The LED Light facial uses deep penetrating LED is a non-invasive treatment that works at a cellular level to induce dermal blood flow into the skin, accelerate the skin healing process, reduce inflammation, reduce acne breakouts and stimulate collagen production depending on the colour of light used.

How does LED light therapy work?

There are different frequencies, or wavelengths, used with LED light treatment. These include red and blue light frequencies. They are readily absorbed into the skin without containing harmful ultraviolet rays.

Red light
Red, or infrared, light is used for treating the epidermis (outer layer of skin). When the light is applied to your skin, the epidermis absorbs it and then stimulates collagen proteins.
In theory, more collagen means that your skin will look smoother and fuller, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Red LED light is also thought to reduce inflammation while improving circulation, which can give you a healthier glow.

Blue light
Blue LED light therapy, on the other hand, targets the sebaceous glands. Also called oil glands, these are located beneath your hair follicles.
Sebaceous glands are necessary for lubricating your skin and hair so that it doesn’t dry out. However, these glands can become overactive, leading to oily skin and acne.

The theory is that blue LED light therapy can target these oil glands and make them less active. In turn, you may see fewer acne breakouts. Blue light can also kill acne-causing bacteria beneath the skin, which can help treat severe acne pimples, including cysts and nodules.
Oftentimes, blue light is used in conjunction with red LED light to help treat acne, decrease scarring, and promote anti-inflammatory effects. One 2018 animal studyTrusted Source found that blue LED improved healing of third-degree skin burns.

Skin boosters is a technique for direct absorption of various substances into the skin, and more specifically into the dermis layer, which contains fibroblasts that synthesize collagen, elastic and reticular fibers. The end of a Dermapen has 12 thin needles that penetrate the skin 100 times per second, causing multiple micro-injuries to the skin, reaching the dermis. The pulsed, repetitive movement of the pen allows the active substances to penetrate the skin. At the same time, the skin’s defense mechanism treats this process as an injury, and immediately stimulates the healing process that leads to the natural production of collagen and elastin fibers. Therefore, this results in an overall reduction of surface wrinkles, as well as skin tightening..

3 weeks after the treatment, you will feel your skin begin to naturally rejuvenate itself which means it will begin to shed skin, to aid this process, we have suggested a Microdermabrasion treatment to ensure all of the dead and dull skin is removed to reveal a smooth, plump, even and hydrated new skin underneath.

A good skincare regime to suit your skin after this treatment can be recommended by your therapist.

Blonde Hair Removal

What is Blonde hair removal?

The usual methods of laser hair removal are not effective enough to identify and penetrate white, blonde, red or grey hairs. Luckily, Nirvana Beauty Laser clinics has a procedure using the latest techniques and technologies meaning those with light/blonde/grey hairs don’t need to miss out! A different procedure wasn’t therefore developed and clinically tested by ADeNA Manufacturers in France in 2004 before being patented (*) in 2005. This patent-protected procedure is exclusively reserved for users of ADeNA machines available at Nirvana Beauty Laser Clinics.

How does Blonde hair removal work?

Unlike laser treatments, which emit a specific wavelength, IPL works like a flash-lamp, sending out scattered wavelengths of light, making IPL very targeted. That also means it affects the pigment in your skin too, so IPL only really works for those with fair skin and dark hair.

Does Blonde Hair removal hurt?

Not at all. “Laser feels like being flicked with a hot elastic band,” explains Thomas, but it does vary from laser to laser. Most experts also agree that laser is considerably less painful than IPL “which uses hundreds of wavelengths in each pulse, which only serve to heat up the skin without having any effect on reducing the growth of the hair,” Most modern laser machines also come with a cooling fan to take the edge of the pain
