MYTH: LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORKS ON DARK HAIR ONLY

The traditional methods of laser hair removal work on hairs that contain pigment and     are not effective enough to identify and penetrate white, blonde, red or grey hairs. However, in 2004 a different procedure was developed and clinically tested by ADeNA Manufacturers in France before being patented in 2005. Luckily, Nirvana Beauty Laser Clinics is one of the exclusive beauty clinics that offers this patent-protected technology, meaning those with light, blonde, red or grey hairs don’t need to miss out! Book now for your FREE consultation with one of our qualified, professional therapists.

MYTH: COSMETIC INJECTIONS LOOK ‘FAKE’  injections_

There is a huge misconception when it comes to cosmetic injections that the results will be over the top, obvious and create an unnatural appearance. This could not be further from the truth. Subtlety is key when it comes to injectables and regardless of the product being used, the skill of the injector is the most critical issue, not the exact brand or type of filler. At Nirvana Beauty Laser Clinics, we understand that you want to look your natural best, so we aim for a natural appearance which reduces and softens the appearance of existing wrinkles and hollows, and gently enhances the volume of your face, whilst not making you look ‘fake’ or ‘plastic’.

MYTH: LASER TATTOO REMOVAL CAUSES SCARRING

Eatattoo_rly methods of tattoo removal were invasive, painful, and caused a lot of scarring because apart from destroying the tattoo ink they also destroyed the surrounding healthy skin. Lasers were then looked to as the answer, however, early versions of these such as Argon and CO2 had mixed success rates and have since been abandoned. The good news is that lasers have now been developed specifically for tattoo removal and have been highly successful in removing ink without scarring. At Nirvana Beauty Laser Clinics, we use the very latest equipment available designed specifically for tattoo removal; The Q-switched Nd:YAG Laser. It works by targeting the tattoo pigment only without destroying the skin and surrounding tissue. Each treatment shatters the tattoo ink into smaller fragments which the body then naturally eliminates. If you want your tattoo removed in the shortest time possible without any scarring and with the least amount of pain and recovery, then book now for a FREE consultation with one of our highly trained, professional and expert therapists.

MYTH: SHAVING BETWEEN LASER HAIR REMOVAL APPOINTMENTS IS A NO-NO

When talklegsing laser hair removal, it is important to know all about the do’s and don’ts. Along with sun exposure it is important you avoid waxing, tweezing, bleaching, or depilatory hair removal creams in between laser hair removal appointments as this will negatively impact your results. It is OK to shave the area in between your laser hair removal treatments. In fact, it is usually recommended that you shave the day before or on the day of your treatment because the shorter the hair the more laser energy is directed towards the hair follicle itself. Hopefully with each laser hair removal session you have, the need to shave will be less and less. To find out about our current laser hair removal promotions click here

MYTH: SKIN NEEDLING WILL LEAVE HOLES IN YOUR SKIN

rejuvenate-package_v2Skin needling does create controlled injury to the skin by causing many miniscule micro-wounds that do not penetrate the surface layers of the skin. This process triggers your body’s response to make more elastin and collagen, which are responsible for the suppleness of youthful skin.  These microscopic holes are so tiny they cannot be seen by the naked eye, and they seal within 4 hours following treatment. You may notice some tiny red dots and temporary mild swelling immediately after treatment because of the stimulation to your skin but all this means is that treatment was effective and that its working!!! Combining your skin needling treatment with Mesotherapy, which is extremely rich in hydration, is the ideal add-on treatment as it reduces this puffiness and redness and aids in the rejuvenation of the skin.
